This ongoing series of drawings is based upon Albrecht Dürer’s 1514 engraving Melencolia I, which shows an enigmatic geometric shape, now known as ‘Dürer’s Solid’. These drawings are the same size as Dürer’s print, although here the geometric shape is now absent, and alluded to only by a seemingly malignant spread of ink.
